The Centredale Fire Association held its annual St. Patrick's Day dinner on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 6:00 pm at the Firefighters' Memorial Hall (old Station 1), 1995 Smith St. The menu included a boiled dinner (corned beef, potatoes, carrots, cabbage, beets, Irish soda bread), hot dogs, parfaits, coffee, Centredale's own Yacht Club soda, and green beer. The event was a great success, sold out its 78-seat capacity, and a great time was had by all. A raffle was held to give away some of former district chief John Murphy, Jr.'s skillful woodcraft.
